Rick's Café Negril Tour from Kingston
Watch the cliff jumpers, swim in the cove and catch Jamaica's most famous sunset at Rick's Café on Negril's West End cliffs. Private transport from Kingston with a JUTA-licensed driver, or pickup from your Negril or Montego Bay hotel.
Your day at Rick's Café
Every Rick's Café tour is private, so the timing is planned around you and the sunset. Here is how a typical day from Kingston runs.
-
Late-morning pickup in Kingston
We collect you from your hotel lobby or home. The drive to Negril takes most of the day's first half, so we time the departure to reach the cliffs well before sunset.
-
The drive west
A long, scenic drive across the island in an air-conditioned Toyota. On request we can break the journey at YS Falls or along the south coast.
-
Afternoon at Rick's Café
Find a spot on the cliffs, swim in the cove, watch the local divers, or jump yourself from one of three cliff levels. There is live music, a bar, food and a pool.
-
Sunset over the sea
The main event. The sun sets into the Caribbean between about 6pm and 7pm depending on the season, and the whole café gathers to watch.
-
Night drive back
Relax on the way home while your driver handles the road. Expect to reach Kingston late in the evening.
How pricing works
Because every tour is private, we price by trip rather than per seat. Your quote depends on your pickup location, how many people are travelling and which vehicle suits your group:
- Toyota Voxy for couples and small groups
- Toyota Hiace for families and larger groups
Staying in Negril or Montego Bay instead of Kingston? We can pick you up there too, which makes for a shorter, more relaxed trip. Combined stops such as YS Falls are available on request.

Good to know before you go
Jumping is optional
Cliff jumping is entirely at your own risk. Plenty of visitors just watch the divers with a drink.
Wear flat shoes
The café sits on limestone cliffs. Light, tropical clothing and flat or gym shoes work best.
Bring swimwear
Wear your swimsuit under your clothes if you plan to swim in the cove or the pool, and bring a towel.
Groups of 10 or more
Larger groups should book a table for dinner ahead of time. Let us know your group size when you ask for a quote.
Cabanas
Private cabanas can be reserved for the day directly with Rick's Café if you want your own space.
It is a long day from Kingston
Negril is on the far west of the island. If your schedule allows, a Negril or Montego Bay pickup shortens the trip.
